What do you do at The Employer Brand Shop?

I bring a creative edge to our clients’ employer brand and recruitment marketing content. My main focus areas are campaign management, social strategy and content development.

What are some of your favourite past work experiences?

Working with an incredible team on the P&G’s Always #LikeAGirl campaign. We were on a mission to take the commonly used insult “Like A Girl” and change its connotation to one that would mean downright amazing things.

We set out to spark a conversation, challenging leading women’s lifestyle publications, social influencers, celebrities and athletes to support and share what they proudly do #LikeAGirl. Not only was it an extremely successful PR campaign, but witnessing the power of a group of fierce leaders coming together to make change is something I am incredibly proud to be part of.

What do you like about working in Marketing and PR?

Every single day brings something new and exciting to the table. Whether it is working for a new client, in a new industry, or on a new project – tech, lifestyle, healthcare, education – I’m always faced with a new challenge. One day, I might be writing an article, the next I’m pitching a new product announcement and the day after that I’m developing a strategy for a company getting ready to launch. My work is constantly evolving.

I also love meeting new people, hearing where they come from or what their story is. I remember the first time someone asked me why I wanted to go into PR and my answer was simple – I love people.

What are the types of projects that get you most excited?

Telling my client’s story. I still get giddy when a story makes it all the way from conception through pitching and into the news. It’s the most rewarding feeling when a client calls you to say they closed a new hire or discovered a great new prospect because of the coverage. That’s the power of PR In action.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

Travelling as much as possible, watching Survivor (guilty!), running, hiking, walking (anything active + outdoors!)
